A note on transportation - Detroit lives up to its name as the Motor City - it is very car dependent! And while Lyft and Uber exist, the wait times are longer than you may be used to coming from a larger city. We will have transportation to the wedding events, and if you are staying in Downtown Birmingham, it is a very walkable city. However if you are planning on exploring the surrounding metro-Detroit area, you may want to consider renting a car.
